From tech pack to delivery, five stages, one accountable partner.
Seamerge Group manages the full flat knit production cycle in-house — Shima Seiki computerized flatknit machines, 7 to 16 gauge, under one roof in Surat. Every stage below is built for OEM and ODM buyers who need precision, transparency, and repeatability.

Tech Pack
Every style begins with a clear technical brief. The more precisely we understand your intent, the fewer sample rounds it takes to get there — but a finished tech pack isn't a prerequisite to start the conversation.
A complete tech pack, a rough sketch, a physical reference garment, or high resolution front/back/detail images with dimensional notes — our technical team works from whichever you have.
Size charts and grading rules, fiber content and gauge targets, stitch/knit structure notes, colorways, trims, and construction details.
Technical drawings and knit programming are prepared on our Shima Seiki Apex4 CAD system, so what you approve on screen matches what comes off the machine.
Tech packs, patterns, and branded trims are held under NDA and never shared outside your account.
Sourcing
Sourcing is where your tech pack comes to life — you curate the fabrication, trims, and colourways for every style, guided by the specs locked in Stage One. The hardest part of this stage is rarely finding materials; it's finding specialty, high-quality fabrications at workable MOQs. Our supplier network exists to solve exactly that, without compromising on hand-feel, drape, or shrink behaviour.
Combed cotton, organic combed cotton, mercerised cotton, and cotton-wool blends sourced domestically; extra-fine Italian Merino, lambswool, and cashmere sourced internationally.
Viscose, modal-cotton, acrylic, and acrylic-cotton blends, plus recycled synthetic blends for sustainability-led programs.
Buttons, zippers, drawstrings, woven and printed labels, and hangtags sourced against your specs or brand standard.
Every yarn and trim supplier is vetted against our sustainability and compliance standards before being added to our approved vendor list.
Colorways are matched and approved against Pantone references before bulk dyeing or yarn allocation is confirmed.
Six gauges, matched to how the finished piece should feel

Sampling
Sampling is managed in-house, end to end — design, knit programming, linking, and finishing — so approvals move fast and nothing is lost in translation to a subcontractor.
Samples are developed from sketches, tech packs, inspirational images, or our own swatch library.
Cable, jacquard, and intarsia knitting are all developed in-house, across the full 7–16 gauge range.
Because our garments are knitted to shape on Shima Seiki Apex4, this step does the work a paper pattern would in cut-and-sew production — fit, silhouette, and grading are all built into the program before a single stitch is knitted.
Panels are knitted directly to shape from the locked program. Cutting and sewing is used only where a style calls for it — collars, pocket bags, or trim detailing — not as the primary construction method.
Your first sample is the prototype — the first draft of your design. From there: fit/counter sample → pre-production sample, with revisions tracked against your original tech pack at every round.
Production
Bulk production runs on the same locked knit program used to build your approved sample — so what ships matches what you signed off on, batch after batch.
Approved yarn allocated and staged per style/colorway
Knitted on computer-automated Shima Seiki machines
Panels linked, washed, and assembled for fit and hand-feel
Washing, steam pressing, and bench-fitting per style spec
100% inline & final audit against the approved master sample
Care labels, brand tags, polybags, and export-ready packing
Once a sample is approved, the knit program is locked in the system. A sealed master sample stays on our production floor for line managers to audit bulk production against, garment by garment.
Knitted panels are checked for measurement and tension directly off the machine, again on the glass table after washing, and a final light-table and manual check before pressing. Finished garments are held to a measurement tolerance of ±1–1.5cm against the approved master sample.
